Rozpis / Schedule

Pravidla / Rules

The Prague Circles 2021 will be played in 4 groups of 4 teams.
All games will be 8 ends and played with a time limit of 1 hour 50 minutes.
When the clock runs to 00:00 teams will complete the end being played and no other end is being played. Unless it is necessary to play an extraend to decide the winning team.
There is a 5 minute break after the 4th end that is already part of the time limit.
Unless stated otherwise WCF rules will apply including the 5 Rock Rule.
The team listed on the top of the scoreboard will play the red stones and have the first practice before the first game of the tournament.
Before the first Round Robin game there will be a 5-minute practice. At the conclusion of the practice the team will play 1 stone towards the Home End to decide the Hammer.
Other LSD stones will be played after every game on Friday and Saturday. The winning team starts. This LSD decides the hammer for the following game.
Please wait for the official to measure your LSD. Together it will be 6 LSD during the tournament.
After the games in the group the best teams of each group will be ranked 1st to 4th according to W/L ratio and DSC, second teams of each group 5th to 8th and further alike.
The ranking in the group will be decided by W/L ratio, head to head and DSC.
No teams are allowed to play with each other more than once except the final round.
There will be one 1-min time out per team in each game. There is no extra time out in extra end.
One person of the opposing team is also allowed to come to speak with his team.
In case of time out, two more minutes (1-min travel time + 1-min time out)will be added to the game time limit. So the maximum of 4 minutes can be added if both teams use the time out during the game.
If a game is tied at the conclusion of the last end then one Extra end will be played. If the team with Hammer fails to score, the game will be awarded to the opposition.
The organizers reserve the right to make changes in the system of play if required and to make ruling decisions.
For the Final round the hammer in the first end goes to the higher ranked team. The lower ranked team can decide the colour of the stones.
