New Prague Classic event joined the World Curling Tour (WCT) today! Currently it is the only WCT event in the region (closest tournaments are held in Hamburg – Germany, Switzerland and in the Baltics).
Prague Classic will take place in Roztyly Ice Rink, Prague, Czech Republic November 1 – 4. This event is open for 24 mens teams, including top Czech and foreign stars, who will fight for WCT Ranking points and prize money budget of 15,500 EUR. Entry deadline was set to July 31st, after that the complete contestants list will be published.
Fans can visit Roztyly Ice Rink or watch the TV. In the Czech Republic you can watch Czech Television, the stream will be published by WCF in other countries.
Czech Curling Association president, David Sik, said: “We are looking to hosting the World Curling Tour Event, which will present great foreign teams in Prague. I am excited that thanks to Czech Television the matches will appear on TV screens. After Olympic Qualification Event 2017 we will bring the world-class curling to the Czech Republic again .”
